Congratulations to the following recipients of the 2013 Marissa A. Lorea Scholarship:

For INDOOR TRACK: Brittany Redding

For OUTDOOR TRACK: Emma Hebert

For SOCCER: Anne Carroll

For FBLA: Jillian Borzain, John DiMasso, and Jared Walsh

To date the Marissa A. Lorea Scholarship has awarded 34 scholarships totaling $68,000.

Marissa A. Lorea Scholarship Guidelines

The Marissa A. Lorea Scholarship Foundation will award four scholarships to a member of:
the girls' soccer team, the girls' indoor track team, the girls' outdoor track team, and to a member of the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA).

-The scholarship amount will be $2,000.00 per student.
- If a qualifying candidate can not be determined, a scholarship will not be awarded for that particular year.
- The foundation will award four scholarships per year until all money has been distributed.
- Applicants must fill out an application and submit it for consideration.

-Due date for submitting applications is March 30 of the applicant’s senior year.

Marissa A. Lorea Scholarship: Girls’ Soccer Qualifications are as follows:

q       Senior girl
q       Soccer player at LHS
q       No history of disciplinary actions
q       Team player
q       Upbeat & positive
q       Outgoing personality
q       Dedicated player
q       Respectful of coach (es)
q       Supportive of her teammates
q       Will be attending college in the fall of the year that the money is awarded

Marissa A. Lorea Scholarship: Girls’ Indoor/Outdoor Track Qualifications are as follows:

q       Senior girl
q       Indoor/outdoor track runner at LHS
q       No history of disciplinary actions
q       Team player
q       Upbeat & positive
q       Outgoing personality
q       Dedicated runner
q       Respectful of coach (es)
q       Supportive of her teammates
q       Will be attending college in the fall of the year that the money is awarded

Marissa A. Lorea Scholarship: FBLA Qualifications are as follows:

q       Senior girl or boy
q       FBLA member
q       Exemplifies exceptional community leadership
q       No history of disciplinary actions
q       Upbeat & positive
q       Outgoing personality
