Marissa Alexandra Lorea was a young talented student at Lincoln High School entering her sophomore year in 2007. She was a great student and a tri-athlete. Marissa ran indoor and outdoor track and she played soccer all for Lincoln High.  On October 15, 2007, Marissa’s life was cut short by a tragic car accident that occurred on one of our local streets, Wilbur Road.

Each day her family, friends, and classmates go on to make sure that her memory is never forgotten within our community. When someone who was loved so dearly exits your life it is most important to keep their memory in everyone’s heart forever. In the spring of 2008, there was the first “Marissa’s Run”. Over 700 community members came out to run to support Marissa’s ongoing memory within us forever. The success of the run was outstanding and now we want to make it a yearly event.

A scholarship in Marissa’s name was created to keep her memory alive and also help qualifying Lincoln High School students fund their future education.
